Modesty is from Faith
الحياء من الإيمان
إنَّ مِمَّا أَدْرَكَ النَّاسُ مِنْ كَلامِ النُّبُوَّةِ الأُولَى: إذَا لَمْ تَسْتَحِي فَاصْنَعْ مَا شِئْت
Translation
From what people learned from the words of earlier prophecy is: If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.

Explanation
Modesty (haya) is a moral compass inherited from all prophets. One who lacks shame has no internal restraint and will commit any act. Shame protects from evil.
