Al-Khaliq means Allah creates with perfect planning and design. He brings things into existence that never existed before. Everything in the universe shows His amazing design.

Example:

Look at your eye - millions of parts working together perfectly. Look at a leaf - a food factory powered by sunlight. All designed by Al-Khaliq!

Dua: Ya Khaliq, I am amazed by Your creation!
Activity: Study one amazing creation (your eye, a bee, the water cycle) and write about Allah's design.

The All-Hearing

Allah hears everything

As-Sami means Allah's hearing is perfect and complete. He hears all sounds simultaneously - every dua being made around the world at this very moment. Nothing is too quiet or too far.

Example:

Millions of people make dua at the same time during Ramadan. Allah hears each one individually and completely.

Dua: Sami'Allahu liman hamidah - Allah hears the one who praises Him
Activity: Calculate how many prayers are being made worldwide right now. Reflect that Allah hears each one perfectly.

Al-Basir

The All-Seeing

Allah sees everything

Al-Basir means Allah sees all things - the visible and invisible, the past and future, the actions and intentions. His seeing is not like ours; He sees without eyes and His vision is infinite.

Example:

Allah sees the cells dividing in your body, the thoughts forming in your mind, and the intentions in your heart - all at once.

Dua: Ya Basir, help me do good even when no one sees.
Activity: List actions you might do differently if a camera was always on you. Then remember: Allah's awareness is even more complete.

The Provider

The One who gives us everything we need

Ar-Razzaq provides for all creation - the bird finds its food, the fish in the ocean, the worm underground. Allah sustains billions of creatures constantly.

Example:

A baby bird opens its mouth and the parents bring food. Who put this system in place? Ar-Razzaq!

Dua: Ya Razzaq, provide for my family and all who are in need.
Activity: Research how a seed becomes food on your table. Count all the blessings in that process.

Al-Ghafur

The Forgiving

The One who forgives when we say sorry

Al-Ghafur means Allah covers our sins and doesn't expose us. He forgives again and again, no matter how many times we make mistakes, as long as we sincerely return to Him.

Example:

If all your sins were piled like mountains, and you sincerely asked for forgiveness, Allah would forgive them all.

Dua: Rabbi ighfir li - My Lord, forgive me
Activity: Before sleeping, think of any mistakes today and ask Al-Ghafur to forgive you.

Al-Wadud

The Loving

The One who loves us with special love

Al-Wadud is a special type of love - warm, affectionate, caring love. Allah not only loves, but He is Love. He loves those who follow His guidance and expresses this love through His blessings.

Example:

Allah's love is not based on what you can do for Him - He doesn't need anything. He loves you because of His mercy.

Dua: Ya Wadud, fill my heart with love for You.
Activity: Read Quran 11:90 and 85:14 where Al-Wadud is mentioned. What do these verses teach?

Al-Hafiz

The Protector

The One who keeps us safe

Al-Hafiz guards everything - the entire universe, the angels, humans, animals, even your good deeds. He also protects His religion and His Book from corruption.

Example:

The Quran has been protected unchanged for 1400+ years. Other books were changed, but Allah protects His final message.

Dua: Ya Hafiz, protect me, my family, and all Muslims.
Activity: Research how the Quran has been preserved. How do millions of people memorize it word-for-word?
Al-Alim

Al-Alim

The All-Knowing

Allah knows everything

Al-Alim's knowledge is perfect and complete. He knows the past, present, and future. He knows what exists and what doesn't exist. He knows our thoughts before we think them.

Example:

How many leaves are on all the trees in the world? How many drops in the ocean? Allah knows the exact count!

Dua: Ya Alim, guide me with Your knowledge.
Activity: Allah says "Not a leaf falls but He knows it" (6:59). Go outside and watch leaves fall. Imagine knowing each one!

Al-Karim

The Generous

The One who gives so many gifts

Al-Karim's generosity is unlike any human generosity. He gives without being asked, gives more than requested, gives to those who don't thank Him, and never runs out of bounty.

Example:

You asked for one thing, but Allah gave you ten better things you didn't even know you needed.

Dua: Ya Karim, thank You for all Your gifts.
Activity: Practice generosity today to reflect Al-Karim's attribute. Give something away happily.
As-Salam

The Peace

The One who gives peace

As-Salam means Allah is free from all imperfections and He is the source of all peace and safety. The greeting of Salam is spreading peace from Allah to others.

Example:

After every prayer, we say "Allahumma antas-Salam wa minkas-Salam" - O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace.

Dua: Ya Salam, grant peace to the world and peace in my heart.
Activity: This week, be the first to say Salam. Make peace between anyone who is arguing.

An-Nur

The Light

The One who guides us

An-Nur means Allah is the Light of the heavens and earth. He illuminates hearts with faith and guidance, eyes with physical light, and minds with knowledge.

Example:

Surah An-Nur (24:35) describes Allah's light beautifully: "Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills."

Dua: Ya Nur, illuminate my heart with faith and knowledge.
Activity: Read Surah An-Nur verse 35 (Ayat An-Nur). Draw or describe what this "light upon light" means to you.
Al-Malik

Al-Malik

The King

King of everything

Al-Malik means Allah owns and controls everything. His kingdom has no limits, no borders, and no end. He rules with perfect wisdom and justice.

Example:

Every atom, every star, every creature obeys Al-Malik's commands. Even things we think are random follow His decree.

Dua: Ya Malik, I am Your servant. Guide me to please You.
Activity: Compare human kingdoms (temporary, limited, imperfect) with Allah's kingdom (eternal, unlimited, perfect).
Al-Quddus

Al-Quddus

The Holy

The most perfect, pure

Al-Quddus means Allah is pure from any defect, need, or imperfection. While creation has weaknesses, Allah is absolutely holy and perfect in every way.

Example:

Nothing we can imagine truly captures Allah because our minds are limited. Al-Quddus is beyond all human concepts.

Dua: SubhanAllah! SubhanAllah! SubhanAllah! (Glory to Allah who is perfect)
Activity: After ruku in prayer, when we rise we say "Rabbana lakal hamd" and can add "Mil as-samawati wal-ard" (filling the heavens and earth).

MashaAllah!

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Allah has 99 names. Whoever memorizes them will enter Paradise.”
